This is the perfect blend of the wholesome image of the little prima ballerina with just enough punk rocker to give it that edgy look.

Instead of the traditional baby pink outfit, this ballerina that has gone punk is dressed in red and black, complete with red laces that you can tie up your shoes with, for that authentic look.  It has a traditional ballerina bodice and skirt, and can be paired perfectly with any pair of black boots.

The punk style has been around since the 1960’s, with early forms of punk bands emerging out of the rock scene.  Today, with music stars like Avril Lavigne, punk is still going strong, but now they have a more feminine profile. Ever since they came onto the scene, punks have always been seen as the shirkers of society, who take some serious social (and fashion) dares, and have been both adored and despised in society circles.  Not to be confused with the Goth movement, punks normally sport eclectic styles that illicit some sort of social or political response, as opposed to wearing all black. In fact, most punks would be pretty miffed if you confused them with a gothic enthusiast. Most punks also actively participate in rallies, or other forms of system-bucking expression.  Punks have always been the quintessential rebels of society, and they will probably continue to be for decades to come.
